Due to increased demand and continued growth Raynor’s Foods took the decision to construct a new sandwich production facility at their Chelmsford site.
The brief was to design and install two twin circuit direct expansions system connected with four R410A remote Airedale condensing units that would provide a total cooling duty of 17 kilowatts in WIP and 64 kilowatts to Production.
As part of the overall project the client wanted to create a +3°c Works in Progress Room and a +10°c Production Area and both required fresh air make up. They did not wish to install traditional room coolers but opted for two RDM controlled twin circuit air handling units, mounted in a first floor plant room, that would operate independently distributing conditioned air via ‘D’ shaped air socks.
