Ammonia/Glycol Plate Heat Exchange

Ammonia/Glycol plate heat exchanger pack being installed by Stonegrove. Duty: 4000kw cooling load plus 500kw intermediate load from freezer LT discharge. The secondary cooling circuit of mono propylene glycol will be pumped to 90 coolers ranging in size from 4kW up to 100kW. With room temperatures around +2C, defrost will be from warm glycol using waste heat from the compressor discharge via an ammonia/glycol plate heat exchanger producing warm glycol at around 20C. The vessel size is 1.4M dia x 6m long excluding end caps. The package weighs approximately 12 tonnes.
