Due to continued growth, Costco required a new Distribution Centre in the UK. The Regional Distribution Depot at Crick is the first of its kind for Costco in Europe.
The project consisted of High Temperature and Low Temperature areas, for the storage and distribution of chilled and frozen products.
The Depot has 2100 kW at +5°c chilled and 150 kW of freezer duty at -22°c. Stonegrove provided the client an energy efficient pump circulated Ammonia refrigeration system, incorporating 2 x HT and 2 x Compound LT reciprocating Grasso compressors, BAC evaporative condensers, and pump circulated Ammonia pipe work within the installation. The site is designed with a 100% back-up on refrigeration capacity.
The complete solution includes remote monitoring and 24hr service support to the client. As a part of our constant drive to improve energy efficiency, the site has been installed with a number of energy saving measures including heat recovery, an automatic air purger, and high efficiency equipment and inverters.
