Tricky Cooler Lift
When one of our clients required a replacement cooler, it wasn't going to be an easy in and out. The new cooler (weighing over a tonne) needed to be lifted and installed 15m up in the air, in a live cold store environment. Because of this there were not suitable forklift and scissor lift equipment available to carry out the work. After some planning, the clever people at Stonegrove designed and installed a pulley lifting system, fixed in the void above the cold store, that enabled the safe installation of the new cooler. The work was carried out over a weekend to ensure minimal disruption to our customer.
Out with the old and in with the new. A new Adiabatic Condenser was craned into place this week for one of our clients. Not an easy project, with the old one needing to be removed. The lift was inexcess of 15m, but fortunately the weather was kind.
Three New Compressors
Three new Sabroe compressors have now been installed for one of our clients, as replacements for three older systems. Two are fully operational with the third currently being commissioned. The work was carried out to ensure the least amount of impact on our clients business.
